Ddakji (딱지) is a popular traditional Korean game. It is played with a folded piece of paper. The goal is to flip over another piece of paper on the ground by throwing your ddakji upon the one on the ground. In the basic version of the game the throwing player is chosen by ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ and the losing player places their ddakji on the table. The throwing player throws their ddakji down on it in an attempt to make it flip over.
The modern ddakjis are decorated with pictures of characters from popular animations and video games, but in the past people used to play with handmade folded paper or pasteboard squares.
